Playtech's New Virtual Tennis Product
Popular software supplier Playtech has added a shiny new virtual tennis game to its already large roster of innovative software.
After a year of research, motion-capture, D design and modelling tests, Playtech are finally ready to roll out the revolutionary result.
Dubbed Playtech Virtual Tennis, the company described the new game as, ‘as close to the real game as anyone has ever achieved’.
The design stages of the game saw Playtech head to the UK, to the film production stage of Warner Bros Studios, with 100+ cameras taking pictures for its Virtual Sports Content, for a three week period.
Using similar technology and techniques as for blockbusters such as Avatar, Godzilla and Quantum of Solace, the Plastic Virtual Sports team, worked alongside professional; sportspeople working competitively. The result was over hundreds of hours of footage for the new software.
Head of Virtual Sports, Elliot Norris, said: “Our Virtual Tennis product is unlike anything the industry has ever seen and feels as if you are courtside watching a Grand Slam.
‘The graphics are mind-blowing’.
Available on several platforms, such as instant play, mobile and more soon, and uses realistic gameplay, pre-match betting and lifelike action.
Several virtual sports are available, such as tennis, football, horseracing, greyhounds, velodrome and speedway, and basketball will be made available later this year.
